Fear Not

We can all relate to the scenario of a child running into a parent’s bedroom during a storm or after hearing a strange noise. We have seen it either in a movie or maybe even in person. It’s always comforting to the child to be in the presence of their parents. The child either crawls into the parents’ bed or one of the parents takes the child back to bed and stays with them.

This is a picture of the comfort that we ourselves can find if we run into the presence of God, our Heavenly Father. Sometimes when anxiety invades our lives because of storms, problems, or the “noises” of daily life we forget that we are not alone, but God is with us and promises to help us. The presence of problems is not equal to the absence of God…Whatever we are going through He is going through with us.

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭41:10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I know it’s tough when the feelings of anxiety / fear overwhelm us but I encourage you to run into the presence of God and trust in His care. He will sustain and comfort us just like the scene of the earthly parents. If you cannot find Him on your own ask a friend to go with you to lead the way.
